Vision and Values at The Mulberry

At The Mulberry, we believe in nurturing responsible citizens to achieve educational excellence by inspiring awe and wonder through an ambitious, sequenced and purposeful curriculum.

Aims:

  • To create an inclusive environment in which learning can flourish both indoors and outdoors.
  • To provide a broad, balanced and knowledge rich curriculum wherein pupils are drivers of learning.
  • To promote high levels of achievement and raise attainment for all pupils through effective teaching and high expectations.
To enable every pupil to foster a lifelong love of learning.
  • To value and celebrate everyone’s uniqueness and individuality, including their own.
  • To develop independent, well rounded, confident, capable children.
  • To encourage a sense of community based on mutual respect, co-operation and equality to all.

Equal Opportunities:

  • Children at The Mulberry Primary School reflect the rich cultural mix found in Haringey and come from families whose origins are worldwide.
  • We have a positive commitment towards teaching against racism and oppose any form of racist behaviour.
  • We recognise bilingualism as an asset and value and respect all children’s languages.
  • The school fully endorses Haringey’s Anti-racist Guidelines. We have an active Race Equality Policy.
  • We take firm steps against all forms of bullying including words, actions or behaviour based on homophobia, racism or sexism.
  • We also regularly review the school’s Equal Opportunities Policy, which aims to counter disadvantage based on race, gender, class and disability.
  • In school this means that boys and girls will be given equal access to all activities, that the curriculum will be made relevant to all ethnic and social groups and where possible provision will be made for children with particular needs.
