School Lunches

We recognise that the school plays an important role in supporting the health and wellbeing of our pupils.  Healthy eating is about maintaining a balanced diet.  This means eating foods from all the different food groups in the right amounts.  Our chef plans with us a varied, healthy menu with daily changes on a three-weekly cycle.

Paying for School Meals

A well balanced meal is provided every day.  Meals cost £2.00 a day for all children in Key Stage 2 and are currently free of charge for children in Key Stage 1.  If you receive benefits and think your child may be entitled to free school meals, please come to the office for the application form.

We are now a cashless school and payments for school meals must be made online using Scopay.  Payments should be made in advance wherever possible and dinner money debts of two weeks or more will result in a chase letter being sent home.  If we have to send 3 chase letters, we may not be able to provide a school meal for your child until the debt is cleared.

If your child would like to change their meal preference please complete the online form.

Packed Lunches

As part of our healthy schools approach, we encourage parents providing a packed lunch to ensure it meets the guidelines of a well-balanced meal.  Do take a look at our packed lunch leaftlet for suggestions of healthy lunches.

The following items are not allowed in packed lunches :

  • NUTS or any food containtaining nuts;
  • Chocolate
  • Biscuits
  • Sweets
  • Cake
  • Fizzy drinks

or any other high sugar foods and drinks.
